Here's a cool police vehicle

I think we can all agree on the coolness of these police vehicles:

Camaro's coming back for 2010, but the Impala based on the G8/Camaro platform is on hiatus for now. GM looked at the falling sales of the 300/Charger and the inability to get the new Zeta cars to over 30 MPG and decided to keep the W-car around for a little while longer.

Here in Alabama back in the '70s they had American Motors Javelins. Now that was some style. http://www.javelinamx.com/JavHome/copcar/

Ye, but them Javelins moved. Only problem, they had to call another parol car to haul the sucker that got caught. Not much room in them 2 doors.

The hottest persuit car I saw was when I was stationed in Germany, Porsche 911 turbo carria. flared fenders. the large racing tires on back slightly smaller in the front. Had the standard green on white Polazi colors.

Search the threads and you will see articles and comments on the RWD Impalas. Here is just one of them: Chevy puts brakes on RWD?

Hey Ranger,
I got a "reality speed-check" in Broward Co. moons ago..., nice cops, terrible fines! Glad to see their taste in vehicles have improved.

IDK about other areas, but here in Enid I've seen about 5 unmarked police cars that weren't even Crown Vics or Grand Marquis. They were cars like a red 90's GMC Jimmy, a white early 90's Chevy pickup. There was even a green 98 Explorer. Only way I could tell it was a cop is because they had the lightbars on the inside of the windows flashing.

Just my opinion, but that's sort of like entrapment.

Back when I was younger, when growing up in Yonkers NY, the unmarked units were easy to tell by the Plate, (and to this day I still remember them)
they wer YW15. Funny how you would see a Dodge with them plates, and then a Ford or Chevy

Ten years ago the Oklahoma Highway Patrol started doing that and the Attorney General shut 'em down real fast. It's too easy for people to be able to get those lights and sirens these days and it's bad enough with people impersonating the police.

If someone driving an "unmarked" tries pulling me over, I'm calling 911 and driving until I see a marked unit pulling up, too.
