Finally got my car back. It looks even better than a new one! The guy who repaired it made an amazing job.

Just watch out for the stupid, "big giant mice" this time. They may as well be mice; just as destructive in a different way. Can't stand the varmints, especially around dawn and dusk!

Glad it worked out .

Theres about 3 miles i drive every day in deep woods , 1 lane each way.
The deer will graze one foot off the curb and look at you like , Whats the problem.

Speed limits 45 , I've probally had 4 run in front of me over the years.

It's just a timeing thing, that you have no control over.
The problem is , That it's such a great road it begs you to open it up. I've done it twice , The last time hit maybe 110 mph , and saw a racoon dart in front of me. Probally a 35 pounder. missed him buy 20 feet, Not much space over a 100 mph. Hate to see what happens to an SS when it times out a 35 pound , over a foot tall racoon at 110. I'm thinkin lots of damage.

I never hit the brakes , In a split second i commited to try and vaporize him if he stopped.

But he kept movin . Good for him , And me .

One was plenty for me....
Actually, to be accurate, the deer hit me.
Was driving the wifey's '03 Explorer on 395 in California, near June Lake. Was right around noon in clear daylight. Going S/B around 60 in #2 of 2. All of a sudden, about 2 or 3 deer hurdled a fence on the right, maybe 30 feet in front of me. Hadn't seen them until tha point. They kinda blend in to the suroundings sometimes. I swerved to the left, but was afraid of rolling the Ford, so I didn't do it too much. One (or two?) deer smacked into the right fender and right front door. Hoof went through the windshield on the right side, scaring the c&^p out of my daughter. Took about 150 yards before I was able to regain control and stop. The impact tripped the fuel shut-off. I looked back and didn't see any deer laying down, so maybe they got off better than we did. Had to drive it 300 more miles back to the O.C. with a hole in the windshield. Took $4,500 to fix it.

Not HHR related, but some folks I know in Grass Valley swerved and wrecked so many times trying to miss the deer that their insurance agent told them "Please, Just hit the deer...."

Thats how we got our HHR!! Hit a deer at 70mph with a buic and turned the steering wheel into a heart when it came through the windshield.

I wish the pic you posted would come up, I would like to see how the hhr faired.

We gt one or two a year with, a couple of times we hit em (they hit us)in our drive way.
