But your complete post seems to hit it right it right on, other than the age.
Your right.

Folks between 30-55 seem to use the HHR for more functional purposes. I personally wanted a small car that didn't feel like one. Lots of family guys and gals on the site. Above all else it seems that people see the HHR as a car with descent marks in all of their areas of importance (gas, looks, space, fun/performance being the last). The ultimate compromise with the wife/husband...space of the minivan, with lots of style and a little-bit of tinker-factor. Hows that?

I'm 21 and a college student. I wanted to use it for when I move a couple times in the next 5 years, but that is probably the extent that I would use all the space. It's rare that I carry more than me and one other person. I like the looks of both, and powertrain isn't an issue (i need the mpg), just unsure whether its worth the extra 2-3k it would take to get one over the 07 that has the better warranty and reliability. Just wanted to make sure I wasn't overlooking anything.

I haven't read many problems with the 2006-2007 models.

seems like you really want the ion. Also you have to get what will benefit you the most. I have changed cars 4 times in the past 3 years. Probably because i didnt do my homework on the cars. I suggest you really do your homework on both cars and get something that fits your budget. Although i prefer the hhr over the ion, its your decision. go with your gut feeling.

Talk about reviving a dead thread. He already bought the ION. Look at the dates on the posts, this is done and over with.
