GA titles it as a Truck, and as previously stated Allstate insures it as a Truck also.

Here in Quebec, the HHR is also considered a ''Truck'' by the DMV.

GM called it a truck so that the CAFE ratings for their truck fleet would be higher.

In the eyes of the Goverment and GM it is a truck or SUV.

Same for the PT unless it was a convetible.

Like stated they did it for CAFE AVE and to sell more pick ups that get worse MPG.

According to my registration from the State of Wisconsin, the chassis is a truck but it is licensed as a car.
