We will be going also! I live in Janesville WI. We will be leaving on Thursday the 24th if anyone would like to make a convoy, that would be fun! If interested just PM me.

I'm just curious how many people are planning to attend this event? I think there has been alot of planning that's went into this. Committees were formed at the suggestion of other members of this forum so that one person alone was not making all the decisions. I am one who recently volunteered to be on the board, but due to the fact that my son-in-law passed away on Easter Sunday and was in ICU 2-1/2 weeks prior to that, have not had the chance to work on this. I know that the timing, location, etc. are not going to be prime for everyone but think about what a wonderful time it will be with the fellowship of other HHR owners. Plus the fact that if this doesn't fly this year the plans to do it for the future in different locations, so that it can be more central for other parts of the country, could be jepordized. I know of at least one other HHR event that is planned just before this one. What fun and excitement to have the chance to be at 2 different ones in a weeks time. Countdown is happening, 4 months, there's still time to get your reservations in. The proceeds are going to the Children's Network, come help make this event a huge success and one that will continue on for years to come.

I know what you mean about the gas prices. I'm sure that's definetly going to keep some people from making the trek to Branson. We (my husband and I) each have an HHR and have decided to drive both cars, not only to the HHRetiage event, but also the Kicks on Route 66 that is the week before! We just figured it would be so much fun to be with other HHR enthusiasts instead of doing some big, old fancy, shmanshy trip that would cost us a fortune anyway! The hotels are cheap enough and include breakfast.

Since loosing our 28 year old son-in-law last week, we have decided that life is way too short for us to say we'll do it later.

Unless you have a V8 in your HHR you shouldn't need to run premium gas....I have an SS and I dont even run premium through it.

I'm still trying to get things figured out for myself, between available funds and available time away from work. It doesn't look likely that I'll be able to do the whole Nationals, but I'd like to be able to at least be out there for one of the days.

*fingers crossed*
