I've already talked to GDZHHR... It was a longer drive than I thought it was, so I probably won't make the trip just for a bumper.

As for my tune changing, yea... I've had some time to cool off about it, and it's not as serious as i thought. I'm not gonna lie and say I'm an awesome driver, and there probably was something I could have done differently to avoid as much damage. I just didn't know what it was at the time, and still can't think of anything now, other than not being there or driving slower.

I have no clue what is causing the problems on my car. I just know it is affecting the power steering, ABS, traction control, and alarm system. I've taken it to two dealers, and neither of them can figure out the problem. It could be something simple, or maybe something more complex. I don't know. I'm not a mechanic, that's why I let other people do the work who supposedly know what they're doing.

The price I said ($700-1000) was just for paint/body work. I've got a friend that works at a good shop here. But, I got to thinking about it, and I just need to save up a little bit more to get some Teazer stuff and a new paint job. So, while it's going to be worked on anyway, I might as well take it one step further. In the meantime, the damage really wasn't that bad. The bumper did get the worst of it, but it's still not mangled. The door handles, however, will need to be replaced.

When you took your stereo and neon off, did anything in the wiring get messed up? Were all exposed wires covered over so as not to cause a short?

I didn't disconnect the stereo equipment myself from power, the first dealer did that. Then I just removed the equipment from my car. Later on, though, we did find a ground that was loose, so we fixed that and the car still does the same stuff. Could that have done something detrimental?

The neons only had a power wire and a ground wire run from the controller. I took the whole controller out and left the neons on the car and plugged into the
interface, and no wires were exposed there.

I haven't looked any deeper in the car than the spare tire compartment for loose wires, as I'm sure that's the only place that both dealers went to, since one dealer said the battery was dead/dying, and the other said it had a short in one of the cells. I took the battery into two other places and it tested just fine, though.
