HHR's and PT Crusiers

I really like my HHR and I respect the PT Crusiers because they did come along first.
Have you noticed that the people with the PT Crusiers just drive them and treat them like cars, but most with HHR's modify them for performance and looks, baby them and treat them like family? Some even name their HHR's (you know who you are) And to those of you who name their cars well me and Princess Thank you for heping me name her.
People seem much more attached to the HHR's like it is more than just transportation.
In the end I do not think the PT Crusier is loved the same as the HHR by their owners( Uhhum! Family) Curly

Go check out the PT Cruiser forums and see if you feel the same way after going through there threads.

I too respect the PT Cruiser. After all, we share the same designer. You can find a forum for any car you want, and on those forums you'll find people just like us here loving, modding, and babying their cars.

I always see one or two HHR's during the day. Rarely do I find one with mods. When I have a chance to talk to someone with their HHR, they usually ask who did the work done to mine; when I reply "I did." They are dumbfounded; I then let them know about this forum and the many bags of tricks I have learned from you all!!!

You need to go to a Pt meet. They have a passion I have yet to see with the HHRs and Have more fun than any group of auto people I have meet yet. I would not trade the HHR for 2 PTs but would like to join their clubs.

HHR people and PT people are all the same.

You have the devoted crowd and you have the people who just need a good reliable vehicle.

As with any thing those whoe are devoted on web sites and you have drivers who did not even know or care if there are web sites let alone custom parts etc.

I hope you just got that ticket & haven't paid it yet...he made a major mistake on your citation & it should be thrown out by the judge/magistrate!

I am ust going by what I see here on the streets and our forum

I rarely see a modified PT and quite a few of the HHR's are. I like the way my HHR looks, drives and gets good mileage overall it is a great little car and fits my needs quite well. Curly

You can contest the ticket in court. The cop wrote down you had a PT Cruiser and you didn't. A technicality yes, but contestable.

I actually see just the opposite. Most HHRs I see are "drivers" with most people not even caring about what they are driving. I see many more PT's with mods. Hopefully just because they've been in the game longer. What I have noticed is all those PT owners look down at us who have modded our HHR's.

BTW - here's a quote from the St. Louis Post-Dispatch article covering the new PT "Dream Cruiser". "It was surpassed in sales in 2007 by it's arch-retro-rival, the Chevy HHR, which is enjoying a nearly 2-to-1 sales advantage so far in 2008."
