SADLY i already paid the ticket. BUTit was only 10$ for a license plate frame that
was makin the plate hard to read. it was 129.99 and i went to the court house and showed em picture that i didnt have it on , and it was a 10$ dismissal few. so if it would have been a moving violation i would of cared and done more about it.

Very true...

I would know since I have owned my PT Cruiser since 2001 and I am one of the folks who still own a PT Cruiser and a Chevy HHR.

I have hung out with both crowds and observed the nationwide enthusiasm of both car owners.

As much as I LOVE the HHR Enthusiasts I have met since I purchased my HHR, there just does not seem to be the huge passion by the HHR owners as there is in the PT Cruiser community (as much as I wish there was).

We have a great group of locals in our Gateway HHR Club with about 12 members who have done some customizing but a majority of the HHRs I've seen around St. Louis are just daily commute drivers.

I was also the event organizer of a PT Cruiser National Car Show that was held each summer here in St. Louis and was surprised every year to see hundreds and hundreds of PT Cruisers attend from all over the United States and Canada... We even had people attend from Europe who would fly to St. Louis and rent a PT just to attend.

I sure wish we could do that... but with HHRs...

Sadly, I don't think the HHR will ever have the following the PT had/does.

I went to the last show that Tim's PT group put on last summer. They stopped doing the event because they ONLY had 75 PTs show up! I wish we had that problem! Come on, after three years the most HHRs anyone has gotten in one place at the same time was 41 at the HHRitage Nationals.

And with all the news stories about all the changes ahead for the delta platform and likely the HHR, I don't see it being around as long as the PT has been either. (I hope I'm wrong!)

Back when the PT came out, there was so much hype about it. Dealers were able to get $1000's over sticker for it! The little promotion GM has done for the HHR has been sad. Can you say "Super Bowl"? YIKES!!!

Don't get me wrong, I love the HHR and plan on keeping mine until it breaths its last breath, and then I'll REALLY start the mods!!! LOL

And very few of the HHRs I see around town, or PTs for that matter, have been customized at all. If I had to pick one, I'd have to say I see more modded PTs.

I enter a lot of car shows with my car and judge other shows and I see a good number of PT's fixed up and entered but seldom if ever see a HHR entered in a show stock or ortherwise.

Most HHR's I see are base models and dirty. I also see a lot of company HHR's.

The only custom ones I see are here on the web.

My HHR Panel is a base car and it does get dirty and it is a company car as it hauls my DJ equipment around. But I do care about it and I wash it every chance I get, and it also has to live outside and be driven in the winter. This does not mean I care about it any less than you guys who are using these as fun cars or hobby cars. I do take it to shows that allow newer cars and I wind up having to give people "tours" through the car as they are interested in it. I think I may have sold more HHRs than the guy who sold me mine. (I do recommend my sales guy at the dealer I bought mine at.) One guy with a 48 Ford Panel street rod really liked the look of mine and went the next day and bought his own HHR Panel for the wife to drive. It's being custom painted as we speak to match the Ford panel.

I am one of those like Big Kahuna who has both a PT and HHR. They are both great cars and love the way they drive. Actually, I have owned 3 PTs and 2 HHRs over the past 8 years. I love the 5 speed in the PT I now have and have been toying with the idea of trading the Fall Edition in on an SS but not sure about it yet!

I realy think GM drpped the ball on the HHR very little promotion on a wonderful car. even when they advertise there fuel efficiant cars very little if any thing is said about the HHR. I have not owned a Car for several years I drove pickup truck got in the HHR and fell inlove with it. The dealership sales people call me to show the minor self done mods.
