almost 400,000
2009 hhr Ls 2.2. Currently at 399,072 miles... Aka 642,257 kilometers! Replaced engine at 395,000 kilometers and trans at 2xx,000 kilometers (can't remember exactly when off the top of my head). Hoping to get the car to over a million kilometers before she gets retired.

2007 massive miles
I'm new to this site and was looking for the I'm new thread, then saw this. So,here is my first sub to you all.
My 07 that I purchased in 2010 had 91286 miles and a Left hub going out.
The dealer I bought it from ended up warrentying that. Why they would not fix before putting it on the lot is another story.
Drum roll, please.
Today, July 14, 2014..............Mileage is 555498! After work, same date: 555732::
So, as you can expect, I've had plenty of problems with it because I drive the wheels off of it.
A lot of the problems that I have seen here, actually all ot them, I've been through, with the most perplexing issue being the front end. Now, I have no idea what brand of part(s) was used to fix, but several have been warrentied and as of now everything is fine.
I'll find the thread that details what repairs have been done at some point, but there it is.
Pictures later.
Thanks to all the fine folks that post here.
Have a great day!

I have a 06 with 276000 miles but recently threw a rod . Any suggestions or input on if I should rebuild the original engine, purchase an old used engine or chalk the car up for a loss? I have not had any major problems out of the car. Suggestions are definitely welcome.

udabney 21, tough luck on that rod!
I would compare cost of rebuild to cost of replacement.
I have no idea what the difference would be but there might be a salvaged lower mileage engine out there that would be as good if not better than some rebuilds. Depending on who you trust to rebuild current.
Good luck!

Hi All, I've been lurking here for a couple months now for repair advice. I have a stock Orange, 2007 HHR LT1 with 122K miles. 2.2L 5 speed Manual. The only item I've had to replace beyond regular wear items is the front shocks. The front end is starting to rattle over bigger bumps and potholes so I guess I will be investing in links soon. I have replaced the front rotors once and the pads three times. The rear drums and shoes have been replaced once. I have a minor leak on the tranny's outer cover. Still looking for the gasket to replace the leaking one when I service. Thanks for the help. I can't wait to get to 200K miles. That's when my daily driver becomes a toy for modification. I want to drop a supercharged 2.4L in for fun.

I spoke too soon. Just under 134k miles, my dealer tells me my transmission is on its way out. Nearly $4k for a factory reman tranny, including labor.
