High Mileage HHRs

It's great you got such good service from the 2 Cieras. But I don't believe the 2.2 (2200) you are referring to is related to the current Ecotec generation.....other than they are GM engines. I believe the 2200 was a bored and stroked 2.0 liter of the S. American engine. Coule be wrong though.
My '07 2.2L has 36,000 on it. Those miles were put on in 18 months. I tend to run my vehicles 100,000+ miles. The 2.2L Ecotec is a highly rated engine and should have no trouble exceeding 100,000 miles with regular maintenance, some love and attention. My '03 Impala (3800 Series II) was running strong at 118,000, but decided it wanted some transmission work. Would normally have fixed it, but decided it was a good excuse to get the HHR!

On Topic Content - My HHR just rolled into 1114 miles last night (934 miles are mine).
After owning it for 56 hours.
That's 17MPH for the duration of ownership.
What'll that work out to in 10 years?

tim tenn and snoopy,
You guys are probably right about the engines being different. Don't know my engines from a hole in the ground. Do know a little about trumpets, cornets and the like. And I love the engine in my HHR. Can't complain with only 26k. Thanks for the heads up.

We just recently purchased our HHR when we finally had to trade in our 2002 GMC Envoy. I average over 40K miles a year just commuting back and forth to work. When we rolled into the dealership to trade it in, the Envoy had 272,613 miles on it. Unfortunately though, it had developed a rather ominous knocking in the engine block just that morning. Once I heard that I knew it was time to give it up. I only had four months of payments left on it, afterwhich I was planning to keep it and buy an HHR.
When we bought the Envoy used in 2003, it had 24,000 miles on it. During the time we had it the only major repairs were a water pump (at 170K), an alternator (at about 271K), and the air conditioner. Unfortunately, the A/C never actually did get repaired, another reason why I'm really happy to have a new car!
Prior to the Envoy, we had a 1998 Chevy Blazer that we traded in at 136K. Other than regular maintenance, we never had to make any repairs. It was still running great, I was just concerned about the mileage.
Our HHR is my forth GM product. In my experience, GM's are just as capable of going the distance as anything else out there. Maybe even more so.
