Paul - Maybe it's the angle of the picture - but can't that dent be popped out? It looks fairly straight forward, and those 66 - 72 chevys had very flexible metal. I bet if you took the inside door panel off you could pop it out with your hand (besides that - if you have to replace the door anyway - no harm done). I think popping the dent out would ease the tension on the window track as well. As far as dents, everyone on this forum has a story. My HHR is littered with them. Just got all the dents popped out and found 2 more. Grrrrr.

Yeah, the interior door panel is really easy to take off... I would try doing that, and it would at least look better for now....
