mirrors

it took me a while to get used to the mirrors....now the worst blind spot to me is the post on both sides of the windshield....at certain interesections it can block my view of 2 or more lanes...i got ventvisors also , that adds 2 more inches of blindspot .

I like your second post here CavityCreep. Said like a man. There are a lot of great folks on here with lots of knowledge and are willing to share what they know. By the way, SSGuy who responded (with the white panel) is a heck of a nice guy.

I am a little different on the mirrors thing folks. I constantly scan my rearview mirror, as well as my side mirrors which I have adjusted out to see my blind spot. Yeah, a '71 Charger had BIG blind spots. Even with all of that, I always do a quick neck-snap check over my shoulder out the window when I change lanes after I have second-checked the mirror. At least once a year I get surprised by something that eluded my mirrors. If I hadn't done those quick checks over the shoulders, I'll bet I'd have hit 20 cars over the years. Just my procedure, and I haven't street ridden a bike in 25 years, so your results may vary! What works for you is cool with me. I love the look of the panels, but I'll bet I'd do an over-the-shoulder look at my interior each time I changed lanes. Hah, hah, hah.

God Bless to all, Marc

All vehicles have varying degrees of blind spots and after driving them for awhile you quickly adapt to them. Two vehicles ago I was driving a Chrysler Crossfire. You want to talk about not being able to see behind you

So if you are interested in the panel, then go for it. Eventually you will become accustomed to that vehicles blind spots.

About the only vehicle (term used loosely) I can think of with almost no blind spots was the AMC Pacer. LOL (The fishbowl) Any remember those ?

Friend had one, It just reminded me of being in a fishbowl..

Pacers are the bubbly brother to the Gremlin. They go well with Patridge Family reruns. Hard to imagine the same company that made the AMX made the Pacer a few years later. God Bless, Marc

CavittyCreep, way to own it! I was only 1/2 offended

Ahhh! Gremlins, Pacers now we are talking classics. Don't for get the Hornet, another of AMC's finest.

One car with a worse blind spot than the HHR panel is the Fiero Notchback. I have the one I bought in 1985 yet and I can lose a Mid size delivery truck in the rear blind spots on either side.
