I cannot find anything about a Fiamm horn either at the local Advane Auto Parts stores here in FL or on the web site. Is there a AAP part number for it?

That is correct. It has to be pulling more juice with double the load, but I've never had any problems with similar setups in the past. I would think that unless you really laid on the horn for an extended period of time it shouldn't be a problem. Most of the time when you blow the horn it is very brief.

As for the Fiamm horn - that is the brand name. Unfortunately, today was trash day, so I don't have the package to give you any additional numbers. I did find the slip and it says "HORN UNIVERSAL HIGH TON 6200008"...

Hope that helps - geo

I mounted the new horn with the bracket that comes with it to the center bolt on the original horn. That will provide the ground (using the short jumper that comes with the new horn). Then I made a short jumper with an eyelet to go under the pos terminal on the original horn (on the horn - not at the harness plug). Then I used one of the extra blade connectors that comes with the new horn for the pos end on the new horn. Hopefully, that isn't as clear as mud...

I knew I should have snapped some pictures...

alright I tried this today but could not get it to work, I took off the black cap where the factory plug goes on the horn and put an eyelet on there (for pos) put the cap on, grounded the new one hooked the pos (or so I thought) plugged the harness back in and just the factory horn worked, was pretty easy just messing up something, any thoughts? Thanks in advance, Guy

Hey Salty - if I remember correctly, the eyelet connection was a little loose, so I put a couple of star washers under the eyelet to take up some slack and tighten up the connection. It may just be as simple as a loose connection...

I also trimmed a little plastic from the connector so that the new wire would have a straighter angle and allow the connector to snap completely back in place (there were 3 retainers on the conn). Then I filled the gap with a little rtv when I was done to weatherproof it...

I knew I shoulda taken some pictures - geo

I bought mine online at Advance's site (PartsAmerica) on Friday to be p/u at my local store. Went in yesterday (Sat) and they don't have any record of it. Nothing on the shelf in back, nothing on the computer. I didn't have my receipt with me so will be going back in today taking it with me. I'm sure that will fix the issue but do any of you work there and know what the problem might be? Since I have the proof of purchase, I'm sure that it is really not a problem, but am curious as to why the problem occurred. Everything is correct on the order; my info and the store info.
