It wouldn't be very hard to wire in a relay (or 2) that would automatically close the sunroof when the ignition is turned off, door locked, etc. I don't remember the site, but a while ago I saw a writeup where the owner did such a mod (not an HHR).

I agree will be doing mine when I pull the panels for the rear seat belts. Makes taking down the headliner easier. NC Relay drops closed when power is lost and the contacts provide power to close the sunroof. Sunroof itself has limit switches to stop it once in the closed position.

when i was younger i had a high end alarm with rain sensor not sure if they still make the rain sensor it didnt do a great job

I figure if you sit in a wet seat once you will never forget again.

Wet underwear and wet seat of the pants in public can be a great motivator.
