Not looking for mpg numbers.....looking for how may miles you go before you fill up and then how many gallons you put in to fill.

For example during the warmer months I usually get about 375-400 miles before I fill my 13.2 gallon tank and I'm putting anywhere from 10.5-11.5 gallons in.

During the colder weather it is quite a bit less miles per tank I get which is pretty much the norm for most cars.

So how many miles do you get out of the 16 gallon tank in the HHR and how much gas do you usually put in to refill it?

I do 100 miles a day commute so I'd be filling on a more frequent basis than the majority owners here but I'd like a sampling to get an idea

I fill every two week normally (pay day weekends). I usually average about 200-230 on that fuel. BUt usually only put 8-10 gallons in. Only time mine get lower than that is if i'm traveling.

I get about 330 miles/550 km per tank in suburban driving conditions.

That is from being completely topped up until about the 1/8 tank mark.

300 to 350 as well. Same scenario as Black Rose.

Mine varies every time. With two cars available to me, I usually drive the one with gas when prices spike up. If prices are low, I'll fill both even though they might not need it yet. I only drive 14 miles round trip per day.

As for the amount I put in, I've reached 16.1 gallons once. I was on the interstate and forgot when I needed to fill up. The HHR goes so much further on a tank than my minivan does. Yes, I was traveling on fumes but my trusty HHR did not leave me high and dry!

Being from a cold state I normally don't let my tank get past 1/2. Plus if I keep it full I don't have to worry about if gas jumps for a day or two. I can hold out until it comes back down and fill up again. How much. I don't know. Don't pay it any attention

A little over 400, fill up on slow till it knoks off then fill to next even .25 .15 .75 or hole doller. put gas in when low fuel light is on 14-15gal. I have put in over 16 a few times. I have been 27 miles after low fuel chime has chimed

Wouldn't work here. Gas went to 102.5 cents per litre over a week ago and just dropped 101.9 today (that's about 3.85 a gallon, not including exhange rate )

I just filled up and I had gone about 390 and was done to guessing around 2-3 gallons left. I dont always get that low before I fill up just overlooked it this week. Based off the DIC (and I know it is not 100% right) I am getting about 28mpg that is combined highway and city

First fill up tonight. The odometer read 414 and I squeezed in 14.0 gals. Combined city and freeway 29.6. Gota like that.
