How much should I be selling my HHR for??

I keep an eye on Autotrader and found that recently Hertz is dumping a large quantity of HHRs onto the used car market as they are refreshing their fleet with newer models. Good for used car buyers, because the supply is outweighing the demand, but current sellers are taking the hit.

I believe I may have finally perfected my haggling skills. I went in to look at an 08' LT w/leather, chrome pkg, and around 25K mileage... they were asking $12,995 red tagged...when I arrived, it had been sold. No problem, I wasn't dead set on that one anyway. The salesman paraded us around the lot showing us all sorts of different used vehicles mostly upper teens and I kept telling him... "I came to look at a $12K car it doesn't look like it's going to happen today".
Anyway... I saw my 09' Imperial Blue model with 19K sitting there but it was listed $15,995 red tagged at $14,995. I tell him, "this is what I like, but this price isn't going to work". He explains red tags are usually set pretty much in stone but lets try. Fine, we walk in and sit down and I had brought my 92' Infiniti G20 to trade but it was worn out. Book on it was less than $500... 213K, transmission was pretty much shot, wouldn't go into 5th gear for nothing.
OK, so he comes back and says here's what we can do... something like $14,300 or so plus tax, tag, title. "Nope" I quickly respond. Let me lay it to you like this... "$13,500 out the door (including tax, tag, title, and whatever else you try and throw in)... I'll write you a check right here and now". He goes to the sales mgr... they both come back... OK.
I'm stunned. We go fill out the paperwork... come back and I'm waiting on the car to get back from cleanup and the sales mgr comes over and says... I didn't realize you said "out the door" ... never-the-less we'll stand behind our word. For the record... "out the door" was written and circled along w/my offer on the negotiation sheet... he just didn't pay attention... not my problem.
I'm happy.

Two months ago I bought my 2009 1LT, 32k miles, steel wheels for $8900. It was around $9800 with tax, title etc. Bought it from a private car dealer who finds and buys cars for clients. It has small scratches here or there but otherwise in excellent condition. Title clear. Needless to say I'm more than happy with my find!
