How to replace door lock and ignition cylinder.

I have a 2009 Panel and a 2006 non-panel donor car.

I have done a search and came up with hundreds of non-relevant posts so I will ask my question here.

I wish to replace the 2009 panels door lock cylinder and ignition cylinder with the door lock and ignition cylinder from the 2006 because the Panels door lock cylinder has been damaged by use of a screw driver and the only way to unlock the door is with the key fob. I wish to only need one key for both door and ignition.

I believe that I will need to get the BCM re-programmed after I install the new ignition cylinder and key Am I correct?

Would I be better off just going to the dealer with my VIN and getting a new door cylinder, cost wise?

If the object is to
A. fix the door only
B. have only 1 key

Just replace the door cylinder and have it re-keyed. Some key guys at Home Depot will do that for free. It is not a big deal.

I would have just the door lock done...

On a slightly different but similar note... Has the ignition recalls been done? I certainly wouldn't put a "bad " old style ignition switch from that 2006 doner into the panel....

@Donbrew, Yes the goal is to fix the door and only need one key.

@Greybeard999, Yes all the recalls have been done.

Thank you both for your input.
