Hubcentric adaptor rings? Wheel Vintiques Problem

I have a set of red smothie rims from Wheel Vintiques. I'm having a problem with vibration and it has been determined that the rims are NOT hubcentric and require hubcentric adapor/trim rings. Im SHOCKED and disappointed to report that Wheel Vintiques totally blew me off when I reported the problem. They basically said none of their rims are hubcentric and that it shouldn't be a problem. Ive had aftermarket rims on jsut about every car Ive owned and I (wrongfully) assumed that all reputable aftermarket wheel companies would either supply hubcentric adapters or that the wheel themselves would be hubcentric. Maybe Wheen Vintiques isnt reputable? Anyway...they totally blew me off and said I should be able to get them from another after market wheel company.

The smoothies have a center bore of 3 5/8" according to Joe at Wheel Vintiques but he didnt have any information on the center bore spacing for the hubs on the HHR. I need that number to find adapters. Or does anyone know where to get the right hubcentric adaptors? Im SO

some people get vibrations because they didn't remove those star washers on the wheels studs. stock wheels are machine to clear them, but most aftermarket wheels are not.

just something to check for...

The center bore is 65.1 It does make sense using them and not relying on the studs to center the wheel. It would be impossible for the wheel manufacturer to supply them because there are so many sizes.

I sell these wheels at work and have not had any problems with them to this point.

Let me know if the washer locks being removed fix the problem. I plan on putting these on for my winter wheels on my own HHR.

I removed the star washers, and there is no vibration.

Good I am glad to hear you fixed this problem.

Once in a while we would get a wheel out of round but with most steel wheel hub rings are never an issue.

You need to post a picture of your wheels I would love to see them.
