I did it: '06 Blk, 2LT!

Well after sitting on the fence....I did it! I bought the black '06 2LT that I was eyeing a week or so ago. It has tan leather, sunroof, 2.4, auto.

I am very pleased. Planned mods:

- Thanks to this forum, I've already bought EBC redstuff pads (the EBC rotors are on back-order)
- Next will be a rear spolier
- an E & G grille (the one without the word "classic"), accented with a silver Chevy bow-tie
- Eibach Pro Kit
- air intake kit

The car has 17's, and I'm not in a rush for a tire-rim combo just yet.

I haven't been this excited about a car since I owned a 5.0 'Stang 15 years ago!

I will miss my Ford Explorer, but with gas at $1.30/L (equal to almost $5.00/gallon in Canada), I won't miss it THAT much!

I haven't owned a black car in a while, my wife figures that within 2 weeks I'll be "whining" about keeping it clean....LOL!

I'll post pics soon.

Paul.

Welcome to the HHR familia!!!

GREAT Color choice!
PITA to keep clean, but worth the effort!

So pop open the sunroof, plug in the 'toons and take him out for a cruise...
(something I do every day to sooth my soul )

Thanks

This afternoon I ordered a rear spolier (the original style, not the SS one) and I'm taking it to have an E & G grille installed on Sat. June 8th. The install guy reccommended a silver/billet bowtie in lieu of the original gold bowtie, I like the idea and I'm going that route.

The Mrs. won't like our bank balance, but she secretly enjoys the fact that I'm excited about this car (or so she leads me to think...until I make that one purchase that'll put her "over the top"!).

Thanks again.

Welcome from another T.O. HHR owner. Still not too many here, but people are coming around.
I think black with tan leather would look great, do you have any pictures to upload into the forum gallery?
