I'd leave the EBC pads and rotors in the box until you actually need them. No use throwing out a good set of brakes unless you're having problems with them.

BTW, my '06 has over 54,000 on the original pads and rotors with no vibration or turning required.

Here's the deal.
I actually do need the brakes. When I test drove it, the brakes did pulsate. I mentioned it, and I was told: "don't worry, we'll do a safety, it will get taken care of if needed".

I've now had the car a day, drove around town, work and back, etc. and the pulsating is still there. I bought it used from a FORD dealer (as I traded my Explorer back to the orig. dealer where I purchased it) who likely only viewed the pads for wear. It's no biggie.

At least, thanks to this forum-I'm prepared.

I love the EBCs more than I thought I would. They stop the car straight and very quickly if you get on them. Plus they look cool!
