I dinged my fender with a numbskull move...
Okay, so I had the gas door open, and forgot as went to walk to the front of the HHR I hit the gas door with my leg and hyper-extended it back far enough that it contacted the fender and put a small ding/crease right smack on the ridgeline of the fender, about 1/2" wide, maybe 1/16" deep with tiny paint chip in the middle.
Stupid absent minded move.

Is old age creeping up on you?,I know the feeling. Too late now. Hope you can repair it inexpensively.
At least it is better than what I saw on my few day leave here from the forum while I drove down to Williamsburg Va from Oh for Thanksgiving, some guy on I-95 north of Richmond Va lost his engine. Well, I'm sure it has some damage anyway. He was 3-400 ft ahead of me in heavy traffic and I noticed grayish smoke out from the back of his car, kept getting worst and worst and I couldn't figure why he didn't get to the right sooner and off the road. It was a couple miles at least before he did and the center lane was all wet from his car, it had to had the cooling system completely empty when he got off the road. Ruined his Thanksgiving I'm sure. Think it was a Saturn.

I'm not sweating it, I was p!ssed though after I did it. Going to put a dab of touch-up paint on the chip and call it even.
Cobbs is a daily driver for me now, and likely will get more blimishes as time passes. At least I got to put the first one on.

Sorry about ding but atleast you know who, how, what, where, and when it happened. I have a ding that is good size and took paint. I think it was car door, bugs me more thinking of how it happened.
