I feel silly asking this...

When I bought my HHR it didn't come with any literature. Only that it was a LT, how do I tell what size motor I have? How do I tell what level of LT I have? 1LT, 2LT I know some came with a sport suspension ( at least what I read online). I got no owners manual or that little window sheet. Can anyone provide some help please?

I'm going to let someone chime in that knows more of the specifics than me...but my 2LT came loaded with a sunroof, running boards, heated leather seats, luggage rack, and 17" chrome cladded wheels. Of course it also came with the 2.4L motor...that I know is standard on the 2LT model but I think some of the 1LT's may have come with it too (won't answer that for sure). I should know more but I've really never looked into the differences.

Oh yeah...fog lights come standard on the 2LT...not sure about the 1LT. I'd say if you have the options I listed then you are riding in 2LT with the 2.4L.

In the glove box, a sticker is attached to the inside of the door. Look for the codes, 1LT, 2LT, 1LS. the other codes are for options whether optional or standard with the model.

For example......FE3 is the Sport Suspension which comes standard on the 2LT.

Oh, by the way....glad you know the difference between 1LT and LT1

Here are a few "if's"...

2LT was the only model with 17" wheels. If yours has that, it should be a 2LT.

1LT came with 16" wheels (alloy's in the early years, hubcaps later). If you have 16's and no chrome exhaust tip, you probably have a 2.2. But someone could have also added one. If you do have a chrome exhaust tip, see if it's a factory GM product or an aftermarket.

Other than that, you will need to run the codes to see what you all have.

Depening on which year he has, all of this except the 17's could be had on a 1LT. Later years they made most of this standard on the 2LT, but earlier years, most was optional.

Yep like I said, I really had no idea...just chimed in on what my 2LT had. I didn't realize that a 1LT had the heated leather seat option and running boards. I mean I guess you could order one from the factory however you wanted. I had a 1995 ford exploder that had every option that the eddie bauer edition had but it wasn't an eddie bauer. It was a one owner and the previous owner didn't like the two tone paint but wanted all the other options of the eddie bauer so they basically ordered an eddie bauer without the two tone. Sorry to ramble on...I'm bored as hell at work today.
