Red face I keep getting shocked when exiting HHR

I have had my new HHR LT2 for about a week and love it. However, have a problem in that when exiting the car and closing the door, both my wife and I get zapped with a static electric shock. Car has leather interior, plenty of wax and we live in NE Ohio, so temperatures are in the 30s or so. Any ideas on how to handle this problem? Thanks.

My Mustang used to shock me every single time I got out of it. My HHR hasn't shocked me once.

My HHR shocked me only once; I slapped it around and haven't had a problem since.

You've just got to let them know who's the boss...

Only if we can harness that electrical charge for good instead of evil...
