I havnt gotten zapped yet, but most mornings, my son complains about it when he opens the back door. I thought he was just trying to get out of going to school!

Does Cloth have anything to do with it?

I feel your pain, JD...I am an exclusion too. I keep reading this thread hoping it will get hi-jacked and morph into something interesting.

Mine hasn't shocked me yet-- I once read that with leather seats, you won't get shocked.

Based on this thread, that doesn't always apply, BUT I have leather and this is the first vehicle I have owned or traveled in regularly that hasn't shocked me.

This is also the first vehicle that I've owned or traveled in regularly that hasn't had cloth.

Could be a combination of weather, humidity, climate, body chemistry, leather or cloth, etc... What I do know is that its nice that I'm no longer getting shocked.

Hmmm, I just had a thought (can ya smell the smoke) Could the seat heaters have anything to do with creating the static shock??

But that wouldn't explain the HHR owners w/cloth seats? The mystery continues!!
