I am also wondering how my ss will do this winter. It will be a daily driver and we get a crap ton of snow here in green bay.

on a side note. The car I had last winter had 50k+ miles on the tires and I got stuck in front of my apartment garage late at night. I had to dig it out and was so pissed. That car need new tires but I was too cheap to get them. lol

Instead of worrying about tires, I purchased the Spider Trax chains to use. Here in the Sierra Nevada Mountains(CA) the snow is usually wet and heavy and hard to push around when it gets a foot or two deep. With the very low clearance of the HHR I did not think I would have good luck at all with the HHR. It turns out we never got anything over a foot deep and I was more than able to run around any place I wanted – never used the Spider Trax chains at all this past year.

I found the stock Firehawk tires to be junk here in Michigan in the winter, I bought some Goodyear Assurance Triple Tred Tires and I have been very please with them.
