Thumbs up I love my HHR!

I bought my '07 around Thanksgiving last November. I traded a stepside Chevy regular cab pickup that was my pride and joy. With three pickups driving long commutes to school and work each day I felt that I would have to sacrifice and find something with better fuel economy. I had driven a SUV or pickup for over 20 years and dreaded the thought of a car. The only thing that appealed to me was the retro look of the HHR because I didn't want to look like everyone else driving down the road. Everything is a plus with my HHR. 27 miles to the gallon, fun to drive, and plenty of room. My boys love to ride along especially because they can plug in their i-pods. The oldest son is wanting to buy a used one for the looks and economy.
I want to eventually add some modifications but with a senior about to enter college those will come slowly. I haven't posted pictures yet because it has been a very wet winter and I haven't explored this site enough to learn how to put things in the gallery.
A big thank you to this site's members for all the information provided before I made my decision to buy. I didn't post very many questions but I visited this site daily during my research to get owner information.

It's hard to beat the HHR's excellent balance of style, versatility, enjoyment, and economy.

Thanks for sharing, PictureTaker!
I think our family members are taking a second-look at our little car's and thinking they aren't as ugly/weird/funky/small, etc. as they thought. And once they hear the gas-mileage and see how much fun we have in them, they are now considering getting one!

Copy-cat's!

DITTO!!!!! This site gave me excellent help before I purchased my HHR. THANK YOU EVERYONE back in November and early December of 2007 for your recommendations and direction.

And I too LOVE my HHR....more than ANY car I have ever owned in my 30 years of owning a LOT of cars.

Driving an HHR is not just driving a "car", it is a lifestyle!
