I need to vent!!!

Well i went and got my new wheels balanced today once i got them home i noticed one of the led weights fell off, so i went to each wheel and each weight came off with ease so now i have to take them back but cant until next week. just needed to vent a lil bit.

have them clean the wheel surface with rubber vulcanizing prep(they have it)...then apply the wheel weights...then cover the wheel weights with duct tape, and re-check the balance...

I've been balancing wheels for 15 years...13" steel wheels, all the way up to 16x14 drag wheels with 32x14x16 slicks...from hunter machines to old-school bubble-balancers.

we use tape-weights on our drag wheels, covered in duct tape...and even at 145+ mph with a friggin balloon for a tire, they dont budge.

sorry you had to go through this...new wheels are often coated to prevent any debeautification during storage...the coating can often cause tape-weights not to stick.

yea they fixed them i got to take them today they just needed wiped off, i knew that most places used some kind of rubbing alcohol. They did when i brought them back so they are on there good now.
