There is nothing wrong with a 06, 40k++ no big hang ups with it. GO for it.
Look at my build date I think I have a early build, If that is true about the bugs then i should have then all...... and I DON'T

You know. I knew that didn't sound quite right when I typed it. Lol. An LT1 in an HHR. That would be a fun ride.

I have made up my mind. I want one. I'm going back tonight to look at the one with the 40,000 miles on it, as the price is almost too good to be true. I went the first time when it was cold and rainy so I didn't get a good look at it. If the weather turns nice this afternoon, I'll go and give it the full look-over.

Its the burgandy-red with dark tinted windows all around. The funny thing is I'll be trading in my wife's 4x4 Explorer that's a burgandy-red with dark tinted windows. :) I thought I wanted one in black, but I guess I've grown attached to that burgandy-red color.

Well, wish me luck. Hopefully, by this weekend, I'll be working on debadging my own HHR.

The sport red is a nice color, and if you can get the one with 40k at a substantially lower price, go for it. If you're really THAT concerned about the "issues" that "everyone" on the forum seems to be having, get an extended warranty with a low deductible. I did that on my car just because of the year-one build date, but I have yet to use it.

The "fuse problem" has essentially been proven a non-issue long ago, so I wouldn't worry about it. Also, TSB releases may only apply to certain dates of manufacture because of vendor and part changes. Mine was built around the same time as oneton's--very early in the '06 production cycle and I have had no "issues" except replacing tires. That's only because I keep running over crap! Over 48,600 miles now and no problems.

I didn't pull the trigger tonight. I got the price that I wanted, and I almost got the trade-in value for my old Explorer that I wanted.

I've got one more option to explore tomorrow. But, I'm almost completely sold on the deal. Burgandy Red with dark tinted windows. Plus a warranty for an additional 36,000 miles.

Its tough to pull that trigger, you know?

SOLD!

I made the deal just now. I'm heading down there after work to pick it up. I got exactly the deal I wanted, and I'm sure the dealer isn't happy with me.

I'll have pics up this weekend.

Thanks everyone.

Now, I guess I have to join the club and pick out a name for my new HHR, huh?

The hard part is over, now the fun begins! Don't worry about the dealer either, he will get over it. Try and not look too happy when you drive off though!
