Hi aradmahogany. Wow ! 168000 miles, that's for sure reliable ! You never had issues with leaks from the sun roof?

Fwiw. Most HHR sunroofs are not leak free. The seal is not designed to be leakproof. BUT....they have a drain trough system under the sunroof to let any water that gets through to just drain out under the car via a tube system.
Most so called leaks are usually just those drains clogging and letting water back up and overflow that trough. Either leaves or other debris is most likely the problem.

Actually I DID have an issues with the sunroof...... After patching ther Butyl seal under the hood, the next day we got quite a bit of rain here in FL and I had a bit of a puddle waiting for me on the passenger side floor near the door. Now I cracked open the Cabin air filter area (where water enters the cabin if you have a butyl patch problem) and it was bone dry. After posting to the forum here one of the admins suggested checking the sunroof drain lines which actually run through the interior of the car toward the front exiting behind the door. I just is some weed whacker line as suggested and cleared the debris from the line and have not had a leak since from anywhere in the car ( same issues firemangeorge described). On a side note, good ol' Gregg (my HHR) has been super reliable and makes it back and forth between Tampa and Spring Hill on a daily basis, an hour long commute with usual city traffic. Even with that mileage the HHR is still pretty peppy.

Thnx aradmahogany. I'll keep that in mind should I ever get a leak problem. There must also be youtube clips on this. Cheers.

Yeah RockinD, sunroof drains are problematic, even when these beasts were brand new, my 2011 had a misrouted drain tube on the driver's side from the factory.

Had a soggy carpet until my dealer yanked it apart and routed the tube properly, but the big deal on '06 and early production '07 models is that blasted Butyl Rubber patch.

Luckily the Butyl patch is an easy fix. Havent had a problem with mine since I serviced it and there have been some heavy rains since then

Cool, thnx a lot guys. I'm going to check out a 2010 Ls tomorrow. 114000km, going for 4895$. Something's weird why it's so inexpensive (sold by a small dealer), but we'll see. Tomorrow, I'm bringing my family to the yearly Santa Claus parade that goes on in our town, and then we're going to check the car out. Have a great week-end guys. Cheers !

He may just be up against another month's "Floorplan" interest payment on it, so it needs to go and go now. Check it out from bumper to bumper and take it for a nice drive, see if it "talks" to you, Oldblue is right...these Trucklets pick you as much as you pick them.

Cheap can be good, like they don't think it will sell, so they drop the price to dump it. Check it out and listen closely, it will whisper to you! Take me home!!!
