installing my replacement jet chip

well it's 2:44 here in rocklin ca. my replacement jet chip is out for del as we type...

if mail is on time i will install in an hour os so.....
gonna be interesting to see if it werks opps thats german (porsche) works, wanna see if the check engine lite comes on.... just can't wait but i'll have too.

if this thing is a failure it's going back and trifecta is or the replacement plan will post results shortly

it's in it runs no check engine lite and seat of the pants dyno sez it had a little more torque. and get this i spun the tires oh did i mention it's raining....

really the car does feel a better guess the real test comes fri am when the car gores on it's word day. but nothing bad so far

well ok heres the deal the car ran fine all day no probs. and yes it did feel faster not way faster but a little better outa the whole and the gas milage seemed about the same.... so should i be runnin high grade or is reg ok???

I never ran one of these but I would think you want the high grade, especially if it says anything about changing the timing advance.......

Won't the GM computer try to adjust everything around the chip and try to get it back to stock settings?

think the chip tricks the gm computer, that what a piggie back does on a porsche,had on a few years ago which worked fine . i did however change it to a giac flash which allowed me to run a race program with 100 oct fuel , way faster !!

it was my last try i was being fare to jet but it is what it is and that is a plastic **** chip!! the car ran fine all day yesterday,i was impressed. but this am. i went out to move the car and the check engine lit came on the car stumbled and would hardly idel and the stalled.i removed the jet mod and the h car now runs fine all is well except i gotta get my money back.... am done with jet and on th trifecta tune.....

the **** chip well i contacted doug at auto accessories gararge on the net. he was very understanding and said they would handle the refund ans as a side note said the jet co had sold a while back and that their product had gone down hill , which i can attest too... what a wild ride well it was down hill and then some.. if you use em be careful!!!!

good to know but bad to here that they are bad. well there is a lot of diffrent tunes out there that are better.

Sorry it didn't work out....... good that you're getting the refund though. It does seem to me the tune is a better solution. I'll be looking into a tune myself at some point.
