interesting fact-remote start
today was the first day for snow and ice when I left work.
Started the car from a distance and got in. There was a heavy frost on the windshield so I hit the washer to get some antifreeze on it. The washers sprayed but the wipers didnt move.
Thought they might be stuck, so I got out and they were fine. Got in and hit the wipers, no go.
At that point I realized I hadnt started with the key yet, so the accessories shouldnt have power. But it seems only the washers work, along with the rear defroster. I wonder if this is intentional, in order to presoak the windshield to loosen ice? Anyone notice this before?

Never noticed that but I have previously posted that I once did the remote start and had a panic attack when it showed I was out of gas and I was at my cabin in the middle of nowhere. Was relieved to see I hadn't turned it on with the key.
