Interior Noise

Have not taken it back to the dealer yet but I am getting a noise around the cab fusebox area? It is like a rattle that keeps getting louder every month. I just turned over 16,000 miles and it is about 14 months old. Anyone else had this yet?

Nothing here Stratman...but I play my radio pretty loud too.

I don't remember hearing anyone mention it...but I'm sure once they read your post, if they have they'll chime in.

I have a couple of rattles, but haven't been able to totally pinpoint where they are coming from yet.

One of them sounds kinda like seat springs vibrating. The other rattle seems to be coming from the storage bins behind the back seat. I have a bunch of stuff in those, so I'll have to look in there when I feel annoyed enough or motivated enough, whichever comes first

I've only had mine a few days and have 400 miles on it. But no noises to report yet. Lets hope it stays that way! :)

You can eliminate the noise in the storage bins by lining them with the new shelf liner material. You can find it at Wal Mart in the housewares section or the expensive stuff where tools are sold. You can apply it to all sides with double-sided tape. It works great!

The little panels to access the tail lights were rattling on mine so I removed them. Whenever the bass would drop they would rattle. I got pissed at them so I ripped them out and tossed them in my garage on the original HHR parts shelf where I keep my cargo net, storage bin, old speakers, and crap like that.

I haven't figured out yet if it's the stuff in the bins or the bins themselves. My bins have a fair amount of movement in them.

Yeah, I removed the panel and did not see anything obvious. It is like a creaking noise and if I put my hand and push in it seems to go away for a little bit. I play my stereo loud and might have rattled somthing loose. If I find anything I will be sure to post a follow up for future heads up!! Thanks everyone for the responses.
