Interior quality rant

I traded a 98 Blazer LT in on my '11 1LT and the first thing I noticed was the acres of hard plastic. I'm used to it now so its not an issue and I think the seats are very comfortable, but I still miss padded everything. My wifes Rendezvous is always there if I need to ride in luxury. Couldn't be happier with HHR though. It does everything the Blazer did at less cost.

Its all relative. For a basic car, which my HHR is, not one single option on it, the interior, though certainly not plush or opulent is certainly acceptable. The seats are comfortable, the car is very driveable, and things do tend to fit together. If luxury and opulence was my goal, a low end HHR would not have been my choice. As it is the HHR does everything I expected it to, and more.

So this is not an "Interior Quality Rant", it's a 'People Ranting Rant'?
You need to listen to Professor Irwin Corey. He'll set you straight.

I don't mind the interior of my 06 1LT. I bought the car as a daily driver and have been pleased with its performance after 98K miles on the clock. I have carried a V6 engine and transmission in the back end. It was hard getting all that in (a heavy sucker) and using the engine hoist holding the engine etc was a hard fit and we walked the engine in. It took about a minute to get it out with a similiar hoist. ??

There are days that I look around my dash and wonder if GM wouldn't have been better off to invest the nickle$ they spent to install the useless (now inactive) OnStar and XM radio options; elsewhere in my vehicle. I realize it probably would have only paid for a few more pieces of chromed plastic and understand I'm better off , as it would probably be delaminating by now anyways.
At least they were finally able to correct their seat back bushings since my 78 Monza wagon, which was plagued with wobble.
When compared with the Mustang, Frontier, and Sonata setting in our drive; the interior on the HHr comes in fourth place.
