Yeah once I realigned the dot like in the picture in my post above the 5° it was off the esc went back to normal...
Unfortunately the rattle in the steering column is still there and its comi g from the output shaft of the steering assist. I guess there is slop in it which i beleve there is a recall on the unit but not sure if it's on the whole unit or just the electric motor controlling it. Does anyone have feedback on that?

The motor is either recalled in some years or covered by an extended warranty in other years , I think 2010-2011 is not either. If it has failed. Sound more like it might be loose. A new motor is not very expensive and it is easy to replace. ?Here is the cheapest listing on eBay https://www.ebay.com/itm/11618773946...Condition=1000
