I've been HIT!!!

Yeah...
I could probably fix it myself, but an insurance claim may cut me a check to supplement me the cost of labor and parts. I can already see that a good portion of it could buff out. The lesions in the fascia will need to be filled.
Grrrr. I have an idea that it was the white Escalade that was parked next to me at QSL. Whoever hit me, hit me well. It is evident that the fascia was pressed in rather far-if you look at the inward crease toward the top.

I had this happen once (not to the extent of yours but still bad) at a club my band played at. I parked along side the building. An orange Honda Element was parked so close to the back of my car that I could barely open the hatch enough to get my bass equipment out. After the show, while loading up I noticed 2 scrapes and some orange paint on the back bumper (same spot as yours) I WAS PISSED! I had only had the HHR for a month.
The next show we played there I parked in the same spot. 2 cars infront of me was the same Honda Element. Needless to say I put my foot upside his door. Left a nice little satifaction dent for him.

Anyways, as I was walking toward my car, I could see that his license plate was PRESSED INTO my front bumper. I was so freaking pissed, I could have broke out his window.
I did nothing but take cell phone pics.
Turns out, when I got into my car, started it up, and tried to shift out of park, he actually pulled into me hard enough that my PARKING BREAK wouldn't disengage easily. I had to use two hands to pull it out of park. It let out a huge pop and my car lurched back about 6 inches or so on its own-it was THAT bad.
Well. I was so mad that I put my car into drive and shoved his car back a foot in its parking space. At first, it was tough to push-I wasn't giving it much gas. Then, I heard a loud pop sound and it coasted out of his spot so easily that it rolled on its own out into the isle-way.
Ironically, the guy who owned it was on his way out too and came running up screaming and hollering at me. I rolled toward his drivers door where he was standing and yelled "What the f*ck you gonna do about it? Nothin. *more explicatives* *more explicatives* *more explicatives*. Maybe next time you park, you'll be a little more conscious of the damage you do to someone else's car! I'm here Monday through Friday 9-5 if you wanna play this game again, punk!"
God I hate it!

If you haven't already, report it to the police, you'll have an incident number for your insurance company and no hassles in filing a claim. Sorry to hear about the damage, the world is full of twerps and most of them drive.

but inform your insurer in any case. If the insurer has refused, your conscience will be clean all the same because you have done everything possible to recover your damages.
843de give the right advice at the police. Tell them that you found on the side of 3 "fresh" empty beerbottles from which you concludes - the driver was drunk. Drunk driving to damage is a serious offense, the police must conduct an investigation and will not be able to sabotage it.
Also, if there are shops in the vicinity (even s top banks) try to gain access to records video. Talk to the guards, they also have such incidents and will not refuse you if they are honest guys.

Sorry about you car and I hope you catch the A....... But I know the feeling. Here in El Paso there are two kinds of cars, those with dings and visitors who haven't been here very long. I think most people around this town do it on purpose if they see a car nicer than theirs.
