IMO, the interest would be worth the price to build good credit (provided you pay on time...)

But I don't blame you for wanting to pay it all up front.
I'm with ya on this one. With the way the market will change due to everything that has happened the last year and a half. It will take longer and probably harder to get a good credit rating.

This is why i still say people should open credit cards in there kids names. Help them to get there credit going. Even if u have 5-6yrs of good credit history banks find it hard to get loans due to not a long enough credit history.

I say put the 6k down and take a payment for the remainder. Yes your interest rate will be at 15-20% But it won't be a long term loan and as u build your credit you can always refi it.

Well, I have some decent credit because of my parents. They have great credit, and it spilled over to me. Although, I have had a credit card since I was 16, that helped too. I got my loan with an interest rate of 5.5%. I would suggest going to a Credit Union....they might be cheaper. That's what I did.

dont get that focus! an hhr is better! just get a loan. if not then have your parents help you get a 2000 loan. GET THE HHR! youll hate that you never went for the car.

oh also the hhr was my second car. my first was a ford ranger (id rather have a ranger to be honest)

when i was in high school i had saw the 07 hhr panel and though it was cool but never though i would get a new car. so i had 2000 and got a 2001 ford ranger. it was the best. i so miss that truck. but now that i have the panel i just wish i could lower it already
