looks very interesting. im assuming all the twisting is to have equal length pipe?

I believe so. I think the main reason it looks like that is to make a long tube header that will still bolt up to the stock down pipe.

This is the reason most people are interested in it though.

So is it the magnaflow exhaust or the header making that noise?

It's the header, but the rest of the exhaust will vary the tone and loudness of it.

Here's another video. The guy is having serious difficulty driving, but it still gets the point across.
