Looks like this guys install may cost him in the long run much more then the header is worth and may need a Lawyer.Where ever he took it to should be closed down for cutting the firewall.

These post are from the Cobalt site

so the whole steup is on including the header, the car si definetly more powerful, but my fuel economy went down drastically and my new magnaflow high flow cat sounds like my stock cat when it was busted? it buzzes under any acceleration, is that how a high flow cat is supposed to sound like?

well its not zp, but it is a cheap one, its 180$ 3" stainless steel from a muffler shop, the cat is magnaflow. these guys were a little too ****y for my taste, i todl them they should follow the instruction book for the header, thats the only way it would fit, they said their pros and they dont need it, 3 hours later they call me to tell me this header was designed to be too big for the cobalt and theres no way it would fit, so they had to cut into the fire wall and make some other mods

ye im going to on monday, but i need to know all i can so i know what to tell them, they made the downpipe, the cat is magnaflow, so whats the downside to cutting into the firewall, and i think they said theyh wrapped the header...

I think he meant the firewall insulation, but it still wasn't necessary.

This is the second version of the header. One person has installed it already and says it fits great, so I'm looking forward to getting mine on soon.

Lots of room on the HHR compared to the Cobalts at least on the 2.2
