I hope everyone heals well from their injuries. Accidents suck.

I had to google Wawanesa because I have never heard of them. If insurance totals your vehicle it won't be for what the body estimate is, but what they deem the value, and they will keep the HHR. Or they will pay the estimated repairs and you can keep it with a salvaged title. So hold tight on decisions for your next ride. Personally I wouldn't want to try and rebuild 8K in damages.

This thread is not quite a classified ad, so if and when you get ready to sell, come back and post an ad with prices on everything you are selling or one price for the whole wreck.

Thread moved from classifieds.

Pix. I only took a couple today. It is nose in against the wall almost. The body shop report shows replacement required for the sub frame, oil pan & trans pan. The thought is that the airbags didn't go off because we mmostly went under the Ford's bumper and much of the force went down. We did leave a puddle of oil the size of the car. The rest of the car is fine.

Thank you for the consideration.

interesting... $8K for damages. There must be a lot of unseen damage as that seems high. I am thinking you could fix it for less with used parts. Is the radiator/condenser good? The front cross bar would have to be realigned, new front clip and you should be good to go. Heck you might even find the parts in the same color.

Body shop quote includes replacing both the radiator and the condenser as both are bent pretty good. At the time of the accident it looked like I could have driven home...

Ins gives lifetime guarantee on repairs and makes sure car is fixed to my satisfaction. Been with our Ins company a long time and they have always been good in handling things. They don't give away money, but they don't act like your stealing from them just because you were in an accident. Good company, in my experience.

When it comes to body work, its parts, labor, meterials, waste, and applicable taxes as well as any straightening of the frame.

Most times its just panel/parts replacement, very few times you see more labor quoted. But then again body shops need to turn a profit.

Sorry for your misfortune....

I don't see a total loss there. How did the subframe and oil / trans pans get damaged?
