Key Fob Problem

I started getting a "key fob battery low" warning on my dash so I tried replacing the key fob battery, on both key fobs. That didn't work so I ordered two new key fobs with new batteries, I programmed them and two days later the same warning appeared. Any ideas of what to try next? When I reprogrammed them before same outcome, warning appeared in two to three days.

Ok. Gotta ask. What do you mean by you programmed and reprogrammed them ?

Fwiw. Including the year, model, etc. usually helps the members here when trying to help you.

Sorry, it's a 2007 LT2. I have a programmer that I purchased with the first new key fob so I can program the key fobs myself.

You know they have a limited number of programming? 3 I think.

Are the old fobs near the car?

I reprogrammed the old ones dozens of times trying to solve this and really thought two new key fobs would fix it. But of course it's always my luck to get the difficult problems.

The documents I read say 3 program limit. Do you still have yours?

Is the battery low?
Is one with a known low battery within 200 ft of the car?

I don't know why or how learning a remote would affect the radio. The learning is just setting a digital key into memory. Much like a garage door opener. Presumably the car is measuring the radio signal strength.

On a 2007 the RCDLR should be behind the LR trim panel; maybe something is amiss there?

Have your car battery in the back spare tire well tested, when my battery started to die it's slow death, I experienced a similar issue with my key fobs.

Bingo! I went out Friday to leave on a trip to central Florida, turned the key and nothing, battery was dead. After picking up a new battery and installing it my key fob battery message was gone. I guess 10 years on the original battery was more than could be expected. Just glad I wasn't in the middle of nowhere when it failed. Thanks to all who responded to my post.
