Key fob and snorkeling

Good news, the keyfob stands up to water better than I expected. I was snorkeling with some friends today. After about 2 hours I suddenly remembered that the keys were in my pocket and not with my stuff up on shore.

Glad to say that it worked first try after about 10 minutes of drying. We would have kept snorkeling but an aligator chased us out of the lake.

I did the same thing with a rental car keyfob in the ocean. I thought for sure I'd messed it up, but same result, dryed out and worked great. So how big was the aligator?

Good story!
Good to know the fob withstands the water. I recently washed a Compact Flash card. Once dry, it was fine!

Oh, now you need a new avitar:)

Don't lose it or damage it!!! I lost a set of hhr keys, and fob alone is about $90 for parts and programing labor. I'm still looking for original...:<:<:<

yeah if you swim in lakes in florida, you kind of have to expect gators.

Unlike some things in life, with an alligator does size really matter...

about 2 feet. not big enoug to do any real harm but small enough that mom was probably around and she would have been big enough to worry about.
