keyless remote
New here Just bought a 2010 lt HHR with 41,000 ? my keyless remote does not work . checked to make sure the battry is good, not sure if they gave me the right one to the right car. Should /can i check any thing before I pay to have it progamed at the dealer. I am 3 hours from the lot i bought at so going back soon is not a option

well i took it to auto zone and they have a tester to see it the battry is good or it the remote it show on all 3 button when you push them that the tester get the signal? that why i think they gave me the wrong one to my new ride . whished I would have tested it at the lot now .

Do you mean the doors will not lock/unlock and the panic does not work?
Your local Autozone/Advance etc. will have a fob tester on the checkout counter, so you can start by checking the fob.
No, there is no easy way. But, check in the DIC to make sure the settings are correct, the directions are in the Owner Manual, available here https://www.chevyhhr.net/forums/general-hhr-4/online-owners-manual-3074/, or from the seller or in your glove box, or from any GM dealer.
If you are talking about remote start, you may not have it, check the label on the glove box door for AP3, that means you have remote start. If you have it, you must follow the directions (lock,lock start).

Panel with RS would have 6. Sedan/wagon with RS would have 4.

I have a 2010 with a 5 speed, bought new. It has 3 button remotes.
