Thumbs down The Nissan dealer was next to my Kia dealer.

Boy is that Cube fugly. They had it up on a ramp above the rest of their inventory. The Soul won't win any beauty pageants, but it is already fully loaded. The 315 watt sound system with the 8 speakers is a blast. The mood lighting is a fun novelty. My dealer had 14 Soul's on the lot and as I was signing the paperwork 3 more were off-loaded from the delivery truck.
It definitely could use a lowering kit.

Cube: That one sided wrap around window just makes it out of balance in my opinion.

Soul: Interesting, when compared side by side to your SS the Soul looks larger than I thought it to be. By the TV ads alone I was thinking it would size up the same as the XD

Wink You should have seen it next to my Passat.

The Soul was about a foot shorter and about a foot taller.
Against the SS it is about 6" shorter and almost the same taller.
The Soul has 18" wheels, same as the SS. It also has 6.5" of ground clearance. And the glass! Loads of visibility with tinted windows standard.
It is Blue Tooth capable, has the USB and Aux Input jacks, same as the SS.
All I need is a giant hamster in the shotgun seat jammin' to the tunes.
It has a boxier design. The 2 liter CVVT engine only puts out about 142 hp though. I'll have to live with the sun/moon roof though. But, there is a lot of head room.
It has a deeper storage compartment under the cargo floor, but the storage bin is styrofoam. Let's see, 4-wheel disk brakes, stability/traction control, an awesome sound system (6-speakers with a center speaker and a sub in the back), and all of this is standard.
The steering wheel controls are on the opposite side compared to the SS. The two-tone red/black interior I'll have to get used to. Oh yeah, a center console to rest my arm on, unlike the SS.
Plus I was given a certificate for $300, as part of an Economic Stimulus Program, to go shopping at the Mall. We only have one Mall.

I was curious and looked at the soul website and "local" closest dealer and they list 73 Souls seems like they banking they are gonna be the next sliced bread or number is wrong. The in town Chevy Dealer has a total of 66 new vehicles all models.

I saw a Cube at the auto show. The Nissan rep asked my buddy and myself if he could help us. We both at the same time said evidently not while looking back at the Cube.

Even these pictures made me throw up a little in my mouth.

This is one vehicle that I would chose a Aztec over.

I haven't seen it close up yet, but I really do like the Soul, especially the Sport. Guess I'm young at heart, as I'm 58 and it strikes me - but then again, so did the HHR.

Thanks that makes me feel better, @ 48 going on 49 I still like the retro look of the HHR, but also find myself attracted to the toaster/boxcars like the XB (version 1 & 2) and the soul. And if there wasn't an HHR I'd probably go for the XB

I've been checking out forums and clubs for the XB + you tube videos..I have to say if we HHR clans had the same kind of turnouts @ G2G's like they do - it would be awesome. Of course we could say something more elitist and say we HHR'ers are a chosen few

I like the Soul, it would be fine as a second car.............Cheap enough and fun. Would not replace the HHR with one though.

They window is ment to be assametical. It is some odd trend some designers want to start. I figure it will mess with the obsessive complulsives.

The soul for one is just never going to work for me. Anything smaller than the HHR will not carry the things I need to carry.

My sons Soap Box Derby car fits in the SS by a 1/4 inch. Ladders, snow blowers and other large tools and things just will not fit into these ugly little boxes.

I spent the day at my sons school today helping out. I wonder with cars getting smaller what some people will do with car seats. Many of these small cars can barely hold two car seats. What will they do if they have 3 kids under 8 years?
