lack of advertising for the HHR
#21
The largest Chevy Dealer in Montgomery Country Maryland has 17 HHRs on the lot and they AREN'T selling. This area is BMW & Mercedes land, with a lot of Honda Accords and Camrys thrown in. The dealer here will make sweet deals on their HHRs. They want to move them. Personally, I think the HHR is THE best looking car in America, but all my co-workers and friends think I am crazy and need my eyes checked. I love an HHR with the Chevrolet Script on the side of the hood, color coordinated rims with half moons and large white side tires. I love the wheels on mitzkity's HHR! Stunning...just stunning!
Different and relatively inexpensive.....Well maybe not. Seems most buyers are over 30. Kids want the tuners.

You know, that is a valid point !!!! And to think some college kids received an award for that idea.

When ever I see an HHR owner, I stop them and ask them about the car. I have yet to meet one that is under...gulp...50. In fact, just this morning at the grocery store, there was a beautiful blue one in the lot. The owner came out of the store (a 60ish lady) and I asked her about the car.
Saturday, a man about 50 something parked his HHR next to my car. I have seen one 30ish man driving a red HHR around town. He is the only young one I have seen.
I can hardly wait to buy mine this winter. Then there will be another old guy driving an HRR.

Thorobred Chevy, here in Chandler "Might?" have HHRs in their ads once a month or so. Usual price is $14,995 with no mention of the model. Probably for an LS with stick shift. Can't tell much from the picture they use and I'm not interested in getting a new car. So I don't go over there and nose around just for the heck of it!

What i've learned from working in advertising. You only promte a product if you are trying to sell alot of inventory on had. The HHR's are selling very well enough where they dont need to promote it as much as they hyped up Frank TV. Which i've seen everywhere.
