Solman98, I won't dispute what you say, because you state it is true. But If in fact these tanks have pure 85/15 mixture of ethanol/gasoline and only lose 10% on the fuel economy, then I am astounded. My shop foreman ran a test similar to the Edmunds link below with his 2006 Avalanche and saw a 29.48% drop in fuel economy using 4 tanks of E85.
Of course the only proof that will matter to 2009 owners is their actual findings when the vehicles hit the road.
In this test by Edmunds they run a real life test by draining all gasoline out of a tank and then adding the E85 and their MPG reduction was 26.5%. But check the performance issues they state also.
