lake pipes

i see a few old posts but no active links..looks like maybe a member is a dealer for these..those who have them any issues??I am lowered so this may be an issue im not sure..

I used to sell them. You can get very nice stainless ones from The Hot Rod Girl, http://rds.yahoo.com/_ylt=A0geutrf2u...com/index.html

These are on my wife's HHR which is lowered with eibach's, she has never had any problems. Had chrome first but they rusted badly within a year.

he said " they look kool ! but it still sounds like a burnner ! "

Very few have made them functional. I would NOT get the chrome if you want to make them functional, metal is too thin.

I think they look sweet with running boards too..

Hharry's non-functional stainless pipes & clamps also came from The Hot Rod Girl and are good quality.
I used coupling nuts, threaded rod, washers, and jam nuts to extend the running board mounting studs and mounted the 2 clamps per side. Just move the clamps/jam nuts up or down the threaded rod to adjust.
You DO have to be more careful if lowered (like Hharry), but I have no problems with normal everyday driving - just watch out for the occasional extra-tall speed bump.

I thought they might need brackets welded & etc..
