I did basically the same thing. When the alignment guy readjusted the toe he just eyeballed the tierod ends, and cranked the screw to make the toe right.
When you hit something, does the tierod end screw itself in or does it bend? If it or anything else bends the geometry changes.
To test hubs grasp the tire at 12 & 6 then push/pull if you can feel any movement besides the tire the hub is far gone. The end play spec is .015 inch.

Ok, I have had the hubs checked: the tires won't budge at all when trying to move them. So the hubs may be alright.
Since the hit I have also replaced the front transmission mount (https://www.rockauto.com/en/moreinfo...355440&jsn=257). So this one can also be ruled out.
I have yet to check with the workshop regarding toe.
