LCA bushings

Does anyone know if there is a company that makes Urethane bushing parts for the LCA ? They are stronger and lasts longer then the standard rubber bushings, I know they are made for older RWD cars and 4x4s but are they made for the FWD vehicles especially our HHRs ?

Yes, and contrary to to they last longer, no, they don’t, these days they split and fail just like the rubber ones .

Prothane is one company that makes them

They only sell this kit

These solid FE5 SS bushings are cheap but last almost three times longer then the hinged hollow type.

These are more money but last way longer and are life time warranty.

If I got 2 LCA to rebuild I want to replace all the bushings, ball joint with the best out there for durability and handling, I thought MOOG ball joints and urethane bushings would be the best but looking for recommendations for the best parts to use that will hold up the best or is it better to just buy the ACDelco LCA from RockAuto? I just figured they could be built better to last longer with better stability?

I have a spare set in the shed with the SS solid bushings presses in them, but you can simply order a new set when required.

I don't see any indication on Rockauto that those are stainless?

Missed this.
Read the hole thing and don't see any mention of stainless.

That’s because SS means Super Sport in this case , not stainless steel. I’ll change that to FE5 SS

There's no specific FE5 LCA rear bushing, they're all the same as far as I know.

Then have a look ,
these are listed in RockAuto site for the 2.0 2009
https://www.rockauto.com/en/catalog/...m+bushing,7532

this site claims the FE 3 and FE5

The old bushing is the hinged style , the replacement is the solid style, seems that nobody offers the hinged unless you order the LCA’s

This FB 782 Duralast bushing illustrates the hinge design
