Oldblue's link says it is used for motor mounts also; kinda odd they only sell it with the BJ.

What link is that, I’ve been busy today trying to get at the driver’s side cage nut, I’ve removed the steering rack and the swaybar, had to stop, for today, way to long working in the sun in 80 plus degree weather and sunshine.
I drove the pinch bolt out with my air chisel and used the new bolt and nut provided with the new Moog ball joint.
Sucks the dealership has the bolt, but it’s only torqued to 37 ft/lbs and the backed off 3/4 of a turn then retorqued to 37 ft/lbs and then an additional 30 degrees. So, a grade 8 bolt from TSC or Fastenal even Home Depot

Wouldn't you want the correct metric bolt, so that the groove in the ball joint stud mates with the bolt properly? Or is the pinching all that matters?

It’s all in the pinch. Here you can see the Moog bolt has a long shank, my 2011 OEM bolt was threaded

The top longer bolt is the pinch bolt

do you know the actual size of that bolt? i know its 2-1/2" long but dont know the diameter or actual size so I can go pick up a god bolt. The one the shop installed temporary is zinc with lockwasher and nut I want to get a good bolt with the proper flared nut. I cant find my repair manual to see if its in there?
