In my opinion Chevy really never promoted the HHR the way they should have. It always seemed like a half-hearted sales scheme from the get go! It's always been "Malibu" this, and "Silverado" that. Guess that's where the money is

The first year or so they did a lot of promotion. But like stated the Trucks make money and they did try to push the Bu some.

But keep in mind they were selling an average of 100,000 HHR's per year so it was not like it needed a lot of attention. They were selling well on their own.

I've said it before, GM has a history of ignoring it's cars to death.

A bazillion 'Pontiac Excitement' ads for the GP, even the Montana(!) but hardly ever saw a TV ad for the Firebird.

Yeah, never saw much in line of advertisement for the HHR.

I figured with the Cobalt being retired, the HHR wasn't going to be too far behind. The shame is I am seeing more and more of the panel versions in use for businesses. You'd think they'd see the potential there for future sales, especially if gas prices spike again.

I'd love to see the Cruize platform spawned into an HHR replacement. Maybe update the styling a decade by creating a mini version of the Nomad. Those, they wouldn't have to advertise as people would search them out after the first sighting of one.

The panel is a great service vehicle. I am amazed at how much it will carry. Lockable bins are nice too, no tools in sight!
